Hydraulic Expanding Mandrels

Hydraulic Expanding Mandrels are used when exceptionally rigid ID clamping is required for high accuracy and high volume production parts. The part is gripped on the mandrel by actuation of hydraulic pressure, which causes uniform expansion of the expander and clamps the part ID with very high pressure and accuracy resulting in a much lower part runout as compared to mechanical type Expanding Mandrels.

Clamping and Declamping time is minimal, with the operator just having to turn the Allen screw by only half a revolution to achieve complete surface contact with the part.
